Whether they are for cars, motorbikes or lorries, tyres ensure safe contact with the road. They absorb shocks, dissipate water and enable breaking, acceleration and steering. No road vehicle can be used without them – they are indispensable. But tyres wear out: if their tread is too low, there is an increased risk with aquaplaning and bad road grip. Worn out tyres must be correctly disposed of and recycled  - illegally dumped tyres damage the environment and are a risk to health. The disposal and further processing of voluminous and difficult to handle materials such as old tyres is exactly where efficient solutions are required.

For the very special requirements of highly expansive materials such as car tyres, HSM developed the HSM HL 3521 T horizontal baling press which is particularly suited to this task.

With its extra large loading aperture, the HSM HL 3521 is the optimal machine for compressing high quantities and if the material is extremely large and bulky. The model variant HSM HL 3521 T has been specially designed for the compression of car tyres. The baling press can also be loaded via a conveyor belt.
