DSD (Dual System Germany) products refer to used packaging which is collected separately from residual waste and is recycled via the dual system (marked with a “green point” in Germany). Above all, these products include lightweight packaging made of plastic, composite materials, aluminium and tin as well as paper/cardboard.
Despite incorrect sorting and soiling, DSD products have a considerable recycling potential. The separate collection of these goods enables the recovery of valuable raw materials.
With HSM baling presses, you reduce the volume by up to 95% and create stackable bales– for more efficient storage, transportation and further processing.

DSD products are a challenge for compression and compaction, since they consist of a variety of materials with different characteristics. These materials can be bulky, light and expansive, which makes an efficient compaction more difficult.
HSM baling presses offer the following features to meet these challenges:

- Fully automatic strapping (e.g. 5-fold) ensures stable bales, even with expansive materials
