Sustainability at HSM –

Since our establishment in 1971, sustainability has been at the heart of our activities. Our products stand for efficiency, durability and low energy requirements and are only developed and manufactured in Germany. We are committed to resource-friendly processes and are actively engaged in supporting our environment, our climate and also social projects. Sustainability is not a trend for us  - it is a responsibility which we put into practice every day.

Thanks to durable designs, in-house spare part manufacture and patented technologies, our products offer maximum performance with minimum energy consumption – for a greener future.

  • HSM V-Press

    HSM baling presses reduce the volume of  waste by up to 95% whilst using particularly energy-efficient drives.

  • HSM ProfiPack packaging machine – packaging material as good as new from used cardboard.

We manufacture our products in our own three factories in Germany - for maximum control and quality.

All HSM factories are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and manufacture sustainable products. Regular environmental audits and the development of sustainable processes are right at the top of our agenda. Our factory in Reichenbach is certified in accordance with ISO DIN 14001:2015.

  • We generate about 25 % of our power requirement ourselves.

  • Using renewable energy means that the consumption of other resources is reduced to a minimum. 

  • Almost 6,200 m² of the company area is heated using heat recovered from the production processes.

  • Check of suppliers' working conditions, sustainability and regionality.
