2008-08-21 - HSM donates document shredder to humedica e.V.

HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the Baden-based manufacturer of document shredders, baling presses, disposal systems and compactors has donated a document shredder to the international aid organisation humedica e.V., based in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria.

humedica e.V. operates in disaster areas with roughly 600 voluntary doctors and emergency workers, providing medical aid and services in more than 90 countries

humedica provides medical care for 180,000 refugees in places such as Darfur, in Sudan, thanks to funding from the Federal Foreign Office. The priority lies in providing medical aid, as well as basic food supplies.

Since 1979, humedica’s work has relied on one basic principle: companies and private individuals support the commitment of the aid organisation by donating goods, services or money.
The high-performance HSM document shredder at security level 4 is worth several thousand euros and will enable them to make immediate savings in the disposal of confidential files. In this way, HSM can help humedica to be even more economical with financial donations, allowing them to use the money exactly where it is needed.
