2008-04-15 - HSM presses on – with new top players at IFAT

Once again it is time for IFAT, the International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling, to open its doors in Munich after three years from 5th to 9th May.

HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the Salem-based manufacturer of document shredders, cutting machines and baling presses will be presenting the fascinating new machines from the HSM Environmental Engineering product range in hall C3, stand 203/300.

The HSM trade fair motto is “Our team presses on”. Quite literally, the most “impressive” new addition at the HSM trade fair stand is the HSM VK 12018 R fully automatic channel baling press with a crushing force of over 1200 kN and a loading aperture of 990 x 1800 mm. The VK 12018 R is suitable for a wide variety of materials, such as cardboard, paper and foils as well as being easily able to deal with DSD products, sorted waste material and substitute fuels. Depending on the material, the bales reach a weight of up to 1100 kg, a bale size of approx. 1100 x 1100 x 600-2000 mm and is held together by fully automatic five-fold wire strapping.
Visitors that are interested can use the shuttle service to visit an HSM customer near Munich to take a closer look at the machine.

Trade fair visitors should pay just as much attention to the 5750 DuoShredder in combination with a VK 1005. The DuoShredder 5750 was conceived as a powerful two-stage document disposal system with automated destruction. Depending on the type of material, it can achieve an efficient throughput of up to 800 kg per hour.
In combination with an HSM VK 1005 baling press, you can expand the HSM DuoShredder 5750 into a complete disposal system.

The V-Press vertical baling press range is represented by several machines at the stand. A special model of the V-Press 860 will be on display as the ideal machine for compressing special materials, such as PET bottles (V-Press 860 P) and also hard plastic, such as monitors and TV sets, as well as expanding plastic foil (V-Press 860 S).
The V-Press 1160 max is the top model and the most powerful machine in this range with a filling depth of 1100 mm and a pressing force of 60 tonnes. The max version is the highest level and is equipped with a sliding door with a hydraulic door lock and an extra cover.

Alongside the interesting products, trade fair visitors can look forward to some other attractions at the HSM stand that tie in with this theme and emphasise the “Our team is pressing on” motto. For instance, visitors can show off their shooting skills in a football competition and then win some fantastic prizes in the process.
