2012-02-03 - HSM SECURIO P44 document shredder is product of the year
The PBS industry group has now held the 12th contest for the “Product of the Year”. On Saturday 28th January 2012, prizes were awarded at the Paperworld trade fair by Horst-Werner Maier-Hunke, chairman of the PBS industry group, Düsseldorf.
The HSM SECURIO P44 document shredder at security level 5 was winner of the “Commercial Office Supplies” category. The jury was particularly impressed with the machine's immense power and maximum quality when operating.
Christine Schmidhuber, from the German National Association of Office Administration Staff, praised the document shredder in her speech with the words: “A real power package! Its sophisticated and fully-optimised technical performance is only revealed once it starts operating. Then it is pleased to show how greedy it can be. It shreds paper into the tiniest particles at low noise level. We can safely say that it is addicted to paper and data, and all that with 90% less power consumption than standard products in standby mode.”
The independent jury members come from branches in design, retail, trade press and industry organisations and were spoilt for choice this year with 65 products submitted by 20 different companies.
