2010-09-15 - HSM launches the SECURIO Professional range
At this year’s Paperworld exhibition, HSM presented the SECURIO Professional document shredder range – now the P40 and P44 models are available alongside the SECURIO P36, with a market launch that includes comprehensive dealer support. HSM, the document shredder manufacturer from southern Germany, now presents its close and service-oriented partnership with the office supplies business once again.
The SECURIO range is complete
At the 2007 Paperworld exhibition, HSM presented a model in the SECURIO range of a new generation of document shredders for the first time. A modern design, HSM quality “Made in Germany”, user-friendliness and an energy-saving construction are the features of this Premium series which has now grown to seven models. The shredders are suitable for use in small offices, offices at home, right up to large offices, which the Professional range was developed for with the new P40 and P44 models. With the SECURIO product range complete, HSM has taken another step towards offering the largest choice of document shredders world-wide.
The Professional range impresses with performance and technical details
The HSM cutting unit with its solid stainless steel cutting rollers, is an indispensable centre-piece, particularly for shredding large bulks which require high performance at all times. Customers will be delighted with the 30 year warranty HSM provides on the cutting rollers, and even more so with an optional CD or OMDD cutting unit for shredding CDs and DVDs. The particles are collected in a waste container, ensuring a fully sorted disposal. Here the customer can select between the normal CD cutting unit for shredding at security level 3 (particle size 3.9 x 40 mm) or an OMDD cutting unit for shredding CDs and DVDs at the highest security requirements (particle size 2.2 x 4 mm) recommended by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
An automatic oiler ensures that a continuously high cutting capacity and quality of the particle cut is maintained and prevents paper jams and wear. The SECURIO P44 PAPERcontrol function for measuring paper thickness also prevents annoying paper jams. The unit indicates on an LED display whether the stack of paper can be shredded in one cycle or not.
An additional function of the SECURIO document shredder is the EMCS (Energy and Control Management System), which optimises energy efficiency, thus reducing power consumption significantly. The electronic controller adjusts the power consumption according to requirement, by reducing and controlling the energy input step-by-step from shutdown mode to automatic shutdown to zero consumption. Thus the SECURIOs make energy savings of 90%, compared to a standard standby switch.
Integrated marketing campaign: XXXXL security, XXXXL sales promotion
For the market launch, HSM is offering dealers a comprehensive sales promotion package and supports the campaign at the POS with advertisements and online material for the customer. Dealers can put together their own personal marketing package from a variety of different promotions – all free of charge. When a document shredder from the SECURIO Professional range is ordered, if required, the dealer receives a roll-up display for the shop and XXL postcards for the customers to register for a free 14 day trial period for a new machine.
HSM also offers sales support for printing promotions, online activities, equipment for an open day or an in-house exhibition and an invitation to the HSM Academy with a special XXXXL programme created for the event. Part of the printing offer includes product brochures, posters and various window display stickers. Online banners are part of the
web-based solutions and the interactive flyer generator developed by HSM for creating
tailor-made product flyers.
The open day package – a day for the customers
If they choose to, dealers can arrange an information day all about data protection, an in-house exhibition or any other event in their shop. HSM provides a data protection specialist to brief customers in detail, the three SECURIO P36, P40 and P44 demonstration models, brochures and a competition. HSM also assists dealers in the planning, such as with a sample letter of invitation for customers and anyone else interested.
