2010-07-12 - HSM organises the 6th partner conference at Lake Constance

HSM, the German office and environmental technology manufacturer announces the 6th international partner conference at Lake Constance. From 30th June to 2nd July 2010 HSM sales partners from all over the world gather to meet the HSM sales team and HSM senior management. Altogether there were roughly 120 participants from 38 countries who contributed to making this partner conference a great success.

The conference started on Wednesday evening in an unusual location – in an old rustic indoor golfing range in Bavarian style. True to the theme, HSM staff circulated amongst the international guests in the traditional Bavarian dress of dirndls and leather trousers, offering little gifts, such as gingerbread hearts, a local speciality. Managing Director Irene Dengler, welcomed the guests at the dinner to start the first of three days at the conference. During the live music and an interlude with Alpine horn players, guests then had the first chance to exchange experiences. Many of the HSM partners have now known each other for some time, which was quite clear from the extremely warm and relaxed atmosphere.
After the welcome speech from the company founder, Hermann Schwelling on the second day of the conference, managing directors Irene and Dietmar Dengler presented the company strategy and the latest developments at HSM. This was followed by David Vitrano the Head of Marketing who informed the group of the latest marketing and product strategies and presented the latest products and marketing opportunities.
These insightful presentations were followed by three best practice presentations from dealers from Switzerland, Romania and the Czech Republic. One of the topics dealt with was globalisation in the international procurement market, particularly in office technology, and the market strategies in their respective countries.
After an ample lunch on the hotel terrace overlooking Lake Constance, Dieter Lange the guest speaker talked about leadership in times of hardship and told of his belief that winners as well as losers can be identified right from the start. It was a thrilling talk which fascinated the whole audience and will certainly be food for thought for some time.
Afterwards Christof Bader, Head of Sales International Markets, together with the management and the responsible sales staff handed over the awards in five categories to the beaming winners in the HSM Sales Awards Ceremony for the regions Europe, Central America, Asia/Pacific and Far and Middle East.
The evening event was a boat trip to 3 countries on Lake Constance which lasted several hours. In perfect weather and with wonderful live music everyone could enjoy the idyllic sunset and network at the same time.

On the third and final day of the conference, factory tours were scheduled in the plants at Salem and Frickingen which provided a glimpse of the high-tech production processes, quality management and the “Made in Germany” high depth of production. Special production training directly on the machines also took place. The HSM product management team were available for answering questions.
After lunch in the new administrative building in Frickingen and the official end to the conference, special workshops took place for the office and environmental technology area, which were very well received. The workshops provided a forum for discussions about strategy, product innovations and more. The participants had the opportunity to ask questions and get the answers first hand.
At the end of the conference, the guests confirmed that the organisation team had arranged an excellent event. Everyone went home with a positive attitude and experience, as the programme included HSM presentations and essential market information combined with a relaxed atmosphere.
