2009-09-03 - HSM cooperates with the Krones AG at the drinktec 2009

In hall B3, at stand 426, HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the manufacturer of baling presses and system solutions based in Frickingen, Germany, will be presenting its HSM Crusher 1049 SA and other products. It invalidates, perforates and compresses PET non-returnable bottles and cans in a single procedure. In doing so, it reduces the volume of material to a quarter of its original size. After being crushed the bottles and cans are collected in a practical receptacle.

HSM Crusher 1049 SAThe compact and robust machine is manually loaded through the funnel tube. 60 to 70 bottles can be fed in one go. In 90 seconds the contents are completely compressed.
The HSM Crusher is also a combination device that can be used with all current deposit return machines to form a fully automated system.

The cutting unit of the PF 1200 perforator will also be on view at the HSM stand. This appliance prepares the PET bottles for improved compression in the professional waste disposal industry, where large amounts have to be crushed. It makes holes to allow any air in the PET bottles to escape during the pressing process. The PF 1200 perforator has a cutting output of 80,000 to 100,000 one-litre bottles per hour.

V-Press 860 PA further highlight at the stand is the vertical baling press V-Press 860 P, which has been designed especially for crushing opened or perforated PET bottles. With a pressing power of 418 kN and a low-noise and energy-efficient technology, this baling press is the economical and environmentally-friendly solution for all disposal tasks. Double the quantity of retaining claws in this special model - in comparison to the V-Press 860 - optimises the compression of the material for pressing, and significantly reduces the number of filling processes. With its reinforced press chamber and highly robust mechanical bale ejector belt or chain, the V-Press 860 P is the expert for special materials while also being perfectly suited to standard materials such as cardboard and foils.
HSM will be responsible for all disposal at the trade fair on behalf of Krones AG, as it was at previous trade fairs. In figures, this means that HSM will be pressing approx. 5,000 PET bottles into bales every day. This live demonstration will definitely arouse the visitors' interest – as well as being good for the environment.
